YESSOH Kissito Wilfreid is one of ASEC Mimosas’ recruits from the Ivorian Ligue 1 after an adventure in Qatar, Indonesia and Egypt. A rich experience that the player intends to put at the service of the club “Yellow and Black” to allow him to regain the hair of the beast after an unsuccessful season. interview.
Can you run for the Shareholders?
I’m YESSOH Kissito Wilfreid. I played for AS Denguélé in the 2015-16 season and won the title of top scorer in Ligue 1 with 17 goals. I then moved to Qatar where I played successively in the clubs of Al Ahly SC, then Al Mauhtz before leaving for Indonesia at the club PSMS Medan. Finally, last season, I played the second phase of the Egyptian championship with the ENPPI team. I just put my bags at ASEC Mimosas.
Why did you choose to sign with ASEC Mimosas?
I analysed the ambitions of the club and found that they are well suited to mine. I listened to the leaders and was seduced by this desire to win everything. In Côte d’Ivoire, I can’t think of anything better than ASEC Mimosas to meet the big challenges and relaunch my career.
You arrive at a club that has just had a white season and will not compete in African competition next season. What are your own ambitions with this club?
I was already top scorer in Ligue 1 with AS Denguélé, but I have not yet been champion of Ivory Coast. If ASEC Mimosas is champion, it will play directly in the Champions League. I know I’ll be very eagerly awaited. So I intend to keep a good concentration and give my best to achieve the different goals.
How did contact with ASEC Mimosas come about?
I had already been contacted by ASEC Mimosas long before I left Côte d’Ivoire for Qatar. This season again, the opportunity presented itself. I first analyzed it before agreeing to wear the “Yellow and Black” tunic because it was the best choice I could make. I signed up for ASEC Mimosas to come and bring a plus and help the club move forward. I’m willing to give it my all.
What do you think of the setting of Sol Beni?
Compared to the sports facilities of the country clubs I visited, I found that there is not much difference. ASEC Mimosas has little to envy at this level. Sol Beni is a wonderful setting.
Doesn’t competition in the group scare you?
Not at all. On the contrary, it is a stimulant. Since my training, I have faced competition. I have to prove every time to get a place because only the best are chosen to play.
A word for the Shareholders who surely expect a lot from you.
To Shareholders, I would like to say that we are a new group that will necessarily need their unconditional support to have a good season. Personally, I intend to give my best to succeed.
