Trained at the de Sol Beni Academy, SAMAKÉ Gaoussou, the left lateral Mimosas, is a player of the cru who constantly amazes and pleasing through his beautiful performances thanks to his strength of character, but also thanks to his enormous potential. Close-up on this young prodigy in the bright future.
«SAMAKÉ Gaoussou is a young player that we appreciate very much because he has a very good state of mind. He is very attentive to the advice of the coach. He is also courageous and very volunteer on the ground. He is an excellent hall player (left side) who has great qualities of explosiveness, vivacity and power. He is also intelligent, very technical, enduring and has a good ball strike. It is in these very glowing terms that the assistant coach of the yellow and black, N’GUESSAN Fabrice, presents the young SAMAKÉ Gaoussou trained at the Académie de Sol Beni and which evolves happily, this season, in professional team of the ASEC Mimosas.
A meteoric ascent
The adage that “to the well-born souls, value does not wait for the number of years” is well suited to the meteoric ascent of SAMAKÉ Gaoussou. At only 20 years old (he was born on November 4, 1997, in Youhoulil-Lopou (Snipe), in the south of the Ivory Coast), the young lateral left mimosas quickly climbed the ranks to become a holder at the ASEC Mimosas. He was recruited to the Académie de Sol Beni in 2014 and was trained for two years at the end of which he was promoted to a professional team in 2016. Unfortunately, during a training, he is a victim of a serious injury. The club treats him, then lends him to the SOA for the 2016-2017 season in order to allow him to have time to play to harden. “It was a rich experience for me. I made a good season at the SOA during which I proved that I am ready for the League 1. I think that’s why my leaders brought me back to the club, “he explains.
It is necessary for his position
Although he played the first half of the FHB Super Cup in Côte d’ivoire, SAMAKÉ Gaoussou does not have the confidence of coach AMANI Yao in the Ivorian Ligue 1. The latter preferred COULIBALY Wonlo, more versatile and experienced in the left corridor. But he ends up giving a chance to SAMAKÉ who is aligned during the 5th day against Moossou FC. It was his first game and especially his first tenure in this national competition since his return. I grasped the pole that the coach gave me. I managed a good game and I was the one who offered the decisive pass to AGBÉGNIADAN, who scored our first goal. We finally took 2 goals to 1. And I gained the confidence of my coach, “he says. At the return match against Moossou FC, on the 18th day, after opening the brand, the ASEC Mimosas was then conducted (2-1). And SAMAKÉ Gaoussou is still the author of a decisive pass through which TOURÉ Amed marks and allows the yellow and black to return to 2 goals everywhere. “We ended up winning this game (3-2),” he recalls. Finally, definitively confirming that he is a valuable player both defensively and offensively, SAMAKÉ scored a goal, the third of his team (87 ‘), against the Stade de Abidjan on the 19th day and the ASEC Mimosas (3-0). He is undoubtedly the pillar of his team in the left corridor when he is not wounded. It is tenure 16 times since the beginning of the season with 1 game in Super Cup FHB, 10 in Ligue 1, 3 in the Champions League and 2 in the Confederation Cup. Not bad for a young player of 20 years in a team Mimosas studded large individualities.
Pursuing his appreciation of the player, N’GUESSAN Fabrice, deputy of AMANI Yao, says: SAMAKÉ Gaoussou is a very interesting player, serious, with a good margin of progression. He’s promised a bright future. Every time we trusted him, he presented us with a clean copy of his qualities and his game.
Memories and ambitions
“I think I’m in the middle of a good season. My benefits are appreciated. And the team has already won the Super Cup FHB, then the League 1. We are in the CAF-Confederation Cup group phase and in the National Cup race. My best memories are my first game in Ligue 1 against Moossou FC and my first goal in the same competition against the Stade in Abidjan. I will not forget to mention the return match of the round of framing of the CAF-Confederation Cup against the CR Belouizdad, in Algiers. That day, I was very impressed by the crazy atmosphere created by the Algerian public who gave me the jitters at first. But I was able to pull myself together to hold my part. As immediate ambitions, I dream of achieving the triple (Super Cup FHB-Championship-national cup) and make a good campaign with my club, in the CAF-Cup of Confederation this year. In the medium term, I hope to become the best left side of the ASEC Mimosas and Ivory Coast, concludes AMAKÉ Gaoussou, this young player who has talent to resell.
