17th League Day 1: ASEC Mimosas 0 – 0 SC Gagnoa :

The Mimos in slow motion

After the white tie against Mamelodi Sundowns, on the 4th day of the group stage of the Champions League, the ASEC Mimosas was again defeated on the same score by SC Gagnoa, this afternoon at the Felicia, on the 17th Ligue 1 day.  A result that keeps her in 6th place while waiting for her late game of the 16th day, Wednesday, facing the WAC.

The match starts beating drum. SC Gagnoa offers the first opportunity of the game at the 5th MN. Well served in the back of the defense Mimosas, Ouedraogo Chang fails to frame his strike. There is already an open game and very nice battles. Goal actions follow each other from one camp to the next but lack precision in the conclusion. In the last minute of regulatory time, COULIBALY Tiécoura commits a foul on Devine Daouda and scoops her second yellow card which excludes her for the rest of the meeting. SC Gagnoa now evolves at 10 to 11 and regains the locker room with a zero and a blank score (0 – 0).

The ASEC Mimosas take over the game with much better intentions. From the first minute, DAO Mohamed Lamine sends a superb ball in the surface of repair taken over by NOUGBÉLÉ Christian, but which passes out of the frame. The Gagnolais response comes immediately to the 50th MN on a strike by N. Privat who shaves the right pole of the goal guarded by CISSÉ Abdul Karim. The Mimos are pressing. The cheese men are cornered. At 65th MN, coach AMANI Yao made a double change with the releases of TOURÉ Amed and NOUGBÉLÉ Christian respectively for Kane Guy and Kone Mohamed.  At the 89th MN on a beautiful centre Devine Daouda, the takeover of Kone Mohamed is judicious but passes over the crossbar.

The ASEC Mimosas does not profit from its numerical superiority and is obligated to share points with the SC Gagnoa. A situation that leaves the team “yellow and black” remote from the leader, awaiting his late game of the 16th day against the WAC, Wednesday 20 February at 3.30 pm, at Stade Robert CHAMPROUX.
